Reboot Democracy Hackathon

Are you frustrated with our current political climate? Want to convert that frustration into action that makes a difference? Here’s your chance!

The Reboot Democracy Hackathon is a non-partisan call to action for people inspired to use technology to build scalable tools that increase citizen education and participation in government, and transform our political system into one that is truly representative and responsive to its citizens.

The hackathon with take place at 500 Startups’ office in San Francisco from Friday 12/9 to Sunday 12/11. We’ll be serving food and drink throughout. All you have to do is show up and build something great!

All are welcome, from engineers, designers, product managers, business-people, marketers, investors, etc.

Hackathon Agenda:

Friday Dec 9

  • 6pm - Venue opens. Check-in, happy hour, and networking
  • 7pm - Welcome: Overview of Reboot, Prompt, Agenda review
  • 7:30pm - Open forum for people to pitch ideas
  • 8pm - People form ideas and teams, start building!
  • 11pm - Venue closes for the night

Saturday Dec 10

  • 9am - Venue opens, breakfast, start building!
  • 12pm - Lunch
  • 6pm - Dinner
  • 8pm - Venue closes for the night

Sunday Dec 11

  • 10am - Venue opens. Breakfast, start building!
  • 12pm - Lunch, wrap up projects
  • 2pm - Project presentations start
  • 4pm - Presentations finish, Awards and Wrap-up
  • 4pm - After party at nearby bar (TBD)
