World 1: Land of Lost Identity
This world has lost its way. It’s people do not have traditional sources of identification are thus excluded from financial services. They are deemed by their society to be the ‘unbanked clan’.
They may not have passports.
They may not even have a driver’s license.
They may have little or no credit history.
Where there is data, it is hard to access and not verified.
It is your mission to help find them and return them to society
How can you use data to identify the people of this lost world?
How can you help consumers gain more access to their own data that maybe held in closed/proprietary sources?
How can you help them to be financially included?
How would you go and create one digital identity?
How would you ensure that data is held safely and securely?
How do you improve the customer journey for members of this world with accessibility needs?
Help this world find their way and be its Champion.
Prize: $2,500 for winning team

World 2: Gamers Paradise
It is the year 2100. You have been transported to the future and the world of online rewards, gifts and loyalty is in trouble. Consumers are alienated. The Data Gods demand homage - they ask for too much, but consumers’ prayers are seldom answered.
Sign-Ups are complex and unbearable, leading to high drop-off rates.
Rewards and benefits are confusing, irrelevant and add little value.
Many customers are unaware of rewards/gifts available
Redeeming rewards is complex and time-consuming.
Your mission is to reconquer this world for the consumers - give them the solution of the future, a simple, easy-to-use and effective way to sign up and use online rewards through gamification.
What does the future experience of online gifts & rewards look like?
How could you bring value and relevance back to online gifts & rewards?
How could you radically improve redemption?
How could you use user data to engage or re-engage customers ?
How could you simplify and create fun and engaging sign-up and login processes?
How can you make consumers aware of gifts and rewards available and encourage repeat custom?
How can you encourage experiential rewards?
Your mission is to reconquer this world for the consumers - give them the solution of the future, a simple, easy-to-use and effective way to sign up and use online rewards through gamification.
Prize: $2,500 - Cash Prize for winning team
Runner Up Prize: Apple Watch and a Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition Kit per Team Member
World 3: The Battle for Blockchain The war for contract simplicity has lasted many years with no one side gaining the upper hand.
Time is wasted on emails and phone calls to agree on final legal terms.
A severe lack of understanding around who did what when has emerged.
There is no audit trail.
Your mission is to reinvent the way that contracts are agreed upon.
How could you create a smart contract that gives a clear audit trail using the Blockchain?
How could you create a streamlined process which gives both parties the option to review and amend terms in real time?
How could you execute a smart contract that takes into account exceptions or unique terms in pricing?
Your mission is to bring peace to this world.
Prizes: $2,500 - Cash Prize for the winning team
Runner Up Prize: Star Wars: The Force Awakens BB-8 Interactive Robotic Droid by Sphere and Millennium Falcon Drone (when available) per winning team member

Other than that, almost anything goes and you can use any coding languages or open-source libraries.
The IP: Participants own the rights to the projects they create at the hackathon.
The Participation Agreement: Yes, all participants are required to sign this * in advance of or upon arrival at Super Heroes vs Master Hackers.
Code Review: Winning teams will be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately before winning.
Team Size: Teams of up to 5 humans are allowed. You can also add 1 cyborg, Furby, drone, or Sphero.
Submissions: Each hackathon has it’s individual hackathon.io page, which projects should be submitted on. Submission time is normally 1pm Sunday unless stated otherwise.
DEMO your hack: You must demo your hack in order to present. No slide-decks or power-points will be allowed. Don’t be scared if you didn’t finish… it’s okay long as you tried your best.
Please be aware that by voluntarily providing the personal information requested to Angelhack, you are consenting to its use for the Hackathon program. Additional terms and conditions regarding the use of your personal data will be presented to you during event registration
