Robotics & Autonomous Systems for the Long Term Care Revolution

Workshop Overview

The Long Term Care Revolution Challenge is ambitious. It focuses on finding radical and innovative new ideas that will disrupt the current long term care institutional model. The vision is to replace the current model with alternatives that have the potential for real commercial value in the UK, and which sustain the rights, dignity and whole life experience of UK citizens by 2040.

Innovate UK and The Robotics & Autonomous System Special Interest Group are hosting a workshop to stimulate interest and innovation within the RAS Community with regard to the aims and ambitions of the Long Term Care Revolution programme. (Can you link to something here ?)

The goal is to create diverse, vibrant and cutting-edge non-institutionalised systems and services addressing the lifestyle needs and wishes of dependent individuals, their carers, and families delivering long term care options that are fit for purpose and fit for the 21st century.

This workshop is suitable for micro, small and medium sized businesses, academics and member organisations interested in scoping out existing gaps in the sector, as well as potential mechanisms for delivery (SBRI, Hackathon, CR&D).

A detailed agenda will be published at a later stage.
