RossConf Berlin

ROSS Conf is a one day mini-conference bringing Open Source Software maintainers and developers together in one room. Or in multiple rooms, to be fair. The projects participating in its second edition taking place in Berlin include Bundler, Ruby Object Mapper and... Ruby itself. In the morning bit the project owners will introduce their projects and share what would need work in the afternoon hackathon-y part.

Zachary Scott is a Ruby committer from Vermont living in San Francisco. He's best described as a big hearted crazy cat guy. André Arko founded Ruby Together, is the lead developer of Bundler and co-author of 'The Ruby Way'. Piotr Solnica has over 8 years of experience with Ruby and Rails and knows his way around legacy systems. Also: he is 'the other Piotr S.'.

ROSSConf's mission is to remove barriers for people to start contributing to Open Source. Pair programming with the maintainers of major projects is an unique experience and we believe that people partaking in our hackathon will continue to create excellent free software.

"ROSSConf was brilliant. 28 PRs from 9 different people, several bug fixes, lots of great improvements to documentation, refactoring, fixes to configuration and the setup process and a commit that made the Travis build MUCH faster."
