'Scouse Nous' - Refugee Hackathon
Anyone with a TV, Laptop or mobile phone will be aware of the current refugee crisis. On a daily basis our twitter feeds and Facebook walls are inundated with tragic stories of refugees fighting for their lives. With over 20million refugees worldwide it’s clear that the current crisis is one of the most urgent issues of our time.
What Design Can Do (WDCD), the UN Refugee Agency and the IKEA Foundation have grouped together to create
‘The What Design Can Do Refugee Challenge’
A global design competition that calls on the creative community to come up with game-changing ideas for accommodating, connecting and integrating refugees. So far the calling has not gone un answered seeing teams entering from Europe, Australia and America.
There’s something big going on and we want Liverpool to be a part of it…
The Liverpool Collective invite designers, creative thinkers and imaginative trouble-shooters to join us on Friday 15th April for a day of collaboration. Let’s get together and show the world what can be created with a bit of ‘Scouse Nous’
The Hackathon style event will run from 9am – 1pm (Food Provided) and conclude with a presentation of each team’s final idea. There will be a judging panel who will then select a favourite idea to enter the competition.
