One of Sharify’s main activity is to stimulate ideation through hackathons.
Concept:
A hackathon, also known as Start-up weekend, is a 54 hours marathon that gathers around change-making ideas a wide variety of want-to-be-entrepreneurs from several professional sectors (business, design, technicals). They have until Sunday to work hand and hand and deliver: A validate customer traction, a viable business model & a proper working prototype.
At the end of the weekend, each team will have to present their start-up concept in front of a highly qualified jury.
Thematic:
The thematic of our hackathon is directly related to the sharing transition we try to embrace. It brings together collaborative and circular economy, digitization and automation, internet of things and connected devices. To learn more about the third industrial revolution, join our facebook page.
Practicalities:
Our next hackathon will start on Friday 02nd of December (6pm) and will last until Sunday 04th of December (10pm). It will take place in the most renown co-working space in Belgium: Silversquare, located at 523 Louise avenue. To be part of the experience, your presence at the pre-launch event on Friday 25th of November will be required as well as 08th of December. Stay tune thanks to our Facebook page and Website to be sure not to miss it!
Stakeholders:
Great coaches from well-known disruptive companies and top jury members will be present to challenge your start-up! Find more information on www.sharify.be.
Methodology:
Participants may not come with an existing business solution or a working prototype. It's only a change-making idea that needs a team to be brought to life! If you already have a concept to pitch, get excited! If not, don't worry we have plenty for you and we'll share them at the right time. Anyway, you can always join the team of a project owner! On Friday, you will have the time till 2 am to meet each other, beter develop the idea, design the roadmap and dispatch the tasks. From Saturday morning (08.30 am) till Sunday afternoon (4 pm), you will need to get the things done! As a reminder, you may not leave this hackathon if your idea hasn't been selected at the beginning and you cannot work on it alone. You must join a team and live this amazing entrepreneurship experience all together!
