Sickle Cell Hackathon (2 Day Event)

Organized by UKBlackTech

Data Science to Help Fight Sickle Cell Disease

UKBlackTech is hosting a Hackathon at the prestigious Design Museum in London to help raise awareness of Sickle Cell Disease. The event will bring together developers, researchers and organisations that raise awareness of the disease and work with communities affected by it. The aim of the event is to explore new ideas and solutions to help Sickle Cell sufferers.

Digital Science is sponsoring the Researcher strand of the hackathon, and we are calling out to all researchers with an interest in data science to join us on Saturday in conducting a live data analysis of the publication, funding and research trends in this field. With the help of attendees of this event, we will pull together data and trends across the two days, and publish the results in a freely accessible research report.
