Social Innovation Hack (no coding needed)
Organized by
At the Social Innovation Hack, passionate and creative professionals from the private and nonprofit sectors and aspiring entrepreneurs will come together to find new solutions to address global issues. Over the weekend, participants will learn from experts, form teams, and create a social enterprise (“Social enterprises are revenue-generating businesses with a twist“) from scratch to pitch to a panel of judges. Subject matter experts will be on hand to teach and guide participants through the process so no prior experience is necessary.
Why is the Social Innovation Hack unique?
While similar to a hackathon, the Social Innovation Hack does not require coding or tech experience. Everyone is invited to participate. Additionally, it is heavily focused on learning and inspiring action. The entire weekend is structured so that you and your team (to be formed at the event) can learn how to take an idea from concept to launch. Your final product will be a business model, which you will pitch to a panel of judges on Sunday evening.
