Startupbootcamp Digital Health Hackathon will give you the chance to build your path!
Tech entrepreneurs, health enthusiasts, UX designers, students and business developers are welcome. But, even if you don’t match with the description we accept everyone to join in, and please don’t worry about getting team-members because you can form your own team here, on location! (pre-formed teams are welcome too - 4ppl max).
Providing you help from our deck of amazing mentors on board, the purpose of this hackathon is to get your knowledge together with ours from the digital health scene. With that, your goal will be to create solutions that will be used as a consulting tool for health market.
You'll be able to form teams and learn more about the challenges on the preparation day, which starts on February 15th at 6pm.

CHALLENGES
#1
Headlines: Create the most convenient telemedicine solution for Diabetes.
Explanation: Create a software to be used by patient and HCP (doctor & nurse) to exchange information helpful for the diabetes treatment.
Prize: €2500

Headline: Find a way to identify undiagnosed and untreated Thyroid patients and motivate them to see their doctor (GP) and get medical treatment.
Explanation: It is well known that there are many thyroid patients in Germany that do not realize that they have a thyroid disease. Many of these have either an enlargement of the thyroid or nodules (morphological alterations). Others suffer from hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism i.e. an increase or decrease of the thyroid function with the result of too much or not enough thyroid hormone being produced (functional disorder).

Headline: Create a solution that takes away the fear of founding your own doctor's office and show that running your own business can be worthwhile on many different levels.
Explanation: Some doctors have great respect for running their own doctor's offices. The reasons for this are very different, but can be summed up with the fear of the unknown. Take away this fear and show how fulfilling a managed, monitored and planned docort´s office can be.
Prize: €2500

Headline: How can we support the abdominal pain patient to identify their symptoms with a simple digital solution?
Explanation: Cramps, bloated belly, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, menstrual pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), differentiate acute vs. chronic How does your pain feel like? Will be nice to work with visuals.

Headline: Build a solution for medical staff to find jobs at appropriate wages and for doctors to find qualified staff for their vacant positions.
Explanation: In general, medical staff earn low wages, which leads to applicants with low qualification which leads to unhappiness with the doctors increasing their need to find good staff members. This vicious circle is enforced by a potentially tough job with little responsibility. Find a way to break this vicious circle!
Prize: €2500

Headline: Create an App which supports & motivates former opioid addicted patients (= on substitution therapy,) in their daily live.
Explanation: The solution might cover the following topics in the most patient oriented way: Compendium on substitution therapy, Reminder on therapy adherence and reminder for administrative tasks of the social support system, motivation to stay therapy adherent.
Prize: €2500
HACKATHON RULES
Fresh Code
You are welcome to start working on your hack before the event, if you have a team and the challenges are up. But your hack must be made fresh for the Hackathon, and not from pre-existing projects. You also must demo live at the hackathon on Sunday.
Ownership and IP
Teams have full ownership of everything they build at our events and are free to do with it as they wish.
Team Size
Teams of up to 5 people are allowed.

You must demo your hack in order to present. 5 presentation and one minute Q&A from Judges.
