Symbiosys17: Oxford Nanopore Hackathon

As part of the 3rd UK Bioinformatics Student Symposium and courtesy of Oxford Nanopore, we'd like to invite you to join us for drinks, food and some hacking. Both computer scientists and biologists are welcome, and strong computing experience is not a neccessity. Come and join other attendees before the conference itself!

Educate and Entertain Hackathon Brief:

The Hackathon theme this year is Public Engagement.

In teams of up to four people, come up with an innovative and exciting way to educate and entertain the general public on the crossover between biology and computer science. This could be anything from sequencing to medical applications.

Please bring along anything you think you will need for your hackathon project, including laptops etc.   

There will be a prize for the best team and pizza and drinks available on the night.

Location: Theatre Bar, Aberystwyth Arts Centre.

Times: 6pm onwards.
