Internet of Things for Thermal and Environmental Controls

TEChack is a 2-day hackathon at SyracuseCoE designed to develop IoT-enabled capabilities for products in Central New York’s thermal and environmental controls cluster.
TEChack will be led by award-winning master hackathon mentor Mihir Dani of Anaren, Inc, and will utilize Anaren’s Atmosphere IoT Development Platform. Mihir Dani, a Syracuse University College of Engineering and Computer Science graduate, has mentored numerous award-winning hackathon teams at competitions including IOT World 2015, 2016 and Sensors Expo 2016.

All participants will receive an Anaren Multi-Sensor Development Kit

3:30p - TEC Applications Workshop
Distribution of Anaren Bluetooth Smart Development Kit and overview of CNY’s TEC cluster. It is strongly recommended that participants attend this workshop; content will not be repeated at the hackathon.

9.15a - Challenge Presentation and team formation
9.30a - Work Begins
Noon - Lunch
4:00p - Team Name, Project Name and small description submission.

11:30a - Projects completed / Start with final presentation.

1:00p - Judging / 5 min pitch and 5 min Q/A
3:30p - SyracuseCoE Innovation Showcase
4:00p - Winners announced/ribbons presented
