Technology Association of Georgia IOT Hackathon - Stadium of Things

WHY?  We want to do more than talk about IOT we want to build it!

The internet of things symposium will gather the greater Atlanta community together on August 31st.

    http://www.tagonline.org/iotga/

The hackathon is intended to develop proof of concepts to help the community understand the possibilities of internet of things. We want to do more than talk about IoT we want to build it!

As an IOT use case, we would like to see how we could improve a high school sports stadium.

    WHO?    Hackathon is for Everyone!

    Hackers who write the software
Geeks who build the devices and infrastructure
Makers who craft reality from idea
Storytellers who listen to and tell the customer journey
Innovators who understand the business of IoT

WHAT?  The Challenges we want to do!:

Team Challenges Aim to Demonstrate Proof of Concepts of Internet of Things in:

MEDIA  (Improving the sights, sounds, sharing of data, weather, scoreboards, kiosks)

TRANSPORTATION (improving the transportation of the fans to the stands, performers to the field, and their gear/supplies.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT (improving the delivery of power, lighting, water, trash, restrooms)

RETAIL/FINTECH (improving the food/drink/merchandise experience for the guests and the volunteers)

HEALTH/SAFETY/SECURITY (improving the conditions, the readiness and response to incidents that occur on the field, in the stands, or in the stadium environment)

OPEN CHALLENGE - solutions that cross more than one category
