The Dandelion Project Community Hackathon

To capture some of the energy from TEDxStPeterPort (19th of Feb) and TEDxYouth@StPeterPort (18th of Feb) we are putting on a Community Hackaton in conjunction with The Digital Greenhouse.

The objective of the Community Hackathon will be to create a legacy from the week and to start forming teams to solve problems in the community.

Some of the TEDxStPeterPort speakers will be on hand to offer expertise and guidance.

For example:

Santi Siri from Democracy.Earth will be joining us for those that want to build an island wide voting system.

Eric Avner from People's Liberty will be joining us for that that want to get involved in building a community fellowship programme.

Full list of TEDxStPeterPort speakers can be found here. Where there is demand we will try to have the speakers be available for the hackathon.

 What problem would you like to solve in Guernsey? Who else would like to help you solve that problem? How can the community help you make that solution happen? If you want an idea solving and want to build a team please feel free to get in touch with marc@dandelion.gg to discuss further.

Also please attend if you would like to get involved as a project. Your skills, experiences and free time could be the key to helping make something really meaningful happen.

Note: Although this is being held at The Digital Greenhouse it is important to note that the projects that you start do not have to be technology projects.
