Calling all Luton youths interested in building solutions and sharing ideas on mental health, youth unemployment & crime. Come along to the HeartHub Hackathon on the 30th of November 2019
The Hearthub hackathon brings together young change-makers and aspiring innovators to form a team, build prototypes and launch ideas to address the biggest issues facing young people such as mental illness, unemployment and crime using the power of technology.
The hackathon is designed to empower young people to have a say on issues affecting them and to also have fun bringing their ideas to life.
AGENDA
Phase 1:
Meet other young innovators like yourself, share ideas, form teams and start work on developing your ideas
Phase 2:
Build on your ideas, assign roles to team members, receive expert advice from mentors and create your pitch.
Phase 3:
Pitch your idea in front of a panel of judges, win prizes and network over pizza.
THE WINNER OF THE PRIZE GETS TO DISCUSS THEIR IDEA WITH THE MAYOR OF LUTON OVER AFTERNOON TEA AT THE TOWN HALL AS WELL AS EXPERT MENTORSHIP FROM THE PRINCE'S TRUST.

What time do I need to arrive?
Please arrive at the venue at 9:45 for registration.
The event starts from 10 am - 2 pm
Do I need to bring anything?
Come with lots of energy and ideas on these topics. Feel free to bring your laptops or tablets to work on. There will be pens and paper provided on the day.
Are there any age requirements?
The Hearthub Hackathon is designed for young people between the ages of 14 - 18
Do I need to have tech skills?
No, you don't have to you just need to be passionate about making a difference
