THE Port 2017 Hackathon - Final Presentations CERN
THE Port invites you to the final presentation of the 60h Humanitarian Hackathon at CERN.
We demonstrate the value of fundamental science by selecting the best experts and shaping interdisciplinary teams that work on humanitarian technology related benefits to society.
Interdisciplinary teams will demonstrate the technology opportunities they co-created during the 60 hour hackathon. They answer challenges set by the ICRC, Handicap International, the United Nations and other IOs and NGOs.
The Challenges of this year are: (find more details here) in collaboration with: Terre des Hommes, HUG, Global Humanitarian Lab, Changemakers Lab, Vision2Ventures, MIT-D-Lab, Bowler Engineering, Angela Ruskin University, University of the Aegean, University of Exeter and many more:

- Renewable Energy App for Rural Electrification
- Waste Management in Refugee Camps
- Wearable for Parkinson Development Monitoring
- Cheap Sonic Wobble-Board for Lower-limb Amputees
