Are there any specific requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

You just need to know how to code. No age limit. 

What should I bring to the event?

You need to bring your laptop, everything else will be provided. If you have any specific questions, contact us : hackathon@metro.de 

Will the Robocode tournament be done in teams or will it an individual competition? 

Ideally we would like to have teams of maximum 2 people. You can decide to be alone as well. If you have no partners yet, don't worry, we will find a way to make it work. 

What is exactly RoboCode ? 

RoboCode is a programming game, where the goal is to develop a robot battle tank to battle against other tanks in Java. The robot battles are running in real-time and on-screen with virtual, autonom robots that fight against each other. The robots look like small tanks and the characteristics of each of those tanks is programmed in java.

The motto of Robocode is: Build the best, destroy the rest!
