<Trave/Scrum> Worldwide Travel Hackathon
Travel Scrum Is organizing its first global ideation hackathon to bring the Travel and Tourism community
With 10% of the world’s GDP, 330 million jobs at stake and one-third of the jobs lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic (according to WTTC), the Travel and Tourism industry is at a turning point and needs immediate action.
This global ideation hackathon will be held online from June 11th to June 14th. It is aimed at providing a platform for talented people to showcase their ideas to improve the world of travel of tomorrow and be recognized in the process.
Speaking about this initiative, Gene Quinn, co-founder of <Trave/Scrum> said: “We expect participants to deliver innovative, implementable and impactful projects for the industry, spread across three challenges: Health and Hygiene, Travel & Experiences and Sustainability & Relief. We have a list of accomplished industry experts who have signed up as mentors and judges”.
The ideation hackathon gives innovators, industry leaders, technology & business leaders from all over the world the opportunity to engage, act together as a community.
Speaking about the motivation behind the initiative, Florian Mesny, co-founder of <Trave/Scrum>, said: “We want to mobilize talented people, mentors, companies, experts to #JoinTheScrum and take action. The event kicks off a larger overarching movement to Rethink. Rebuild. Reinvent the Travel and Tourism industry”.
