Trustee & Board Members Recruitment – #Volunteer
TIME TO CELEBRATE!
National Volunteer’ Week takes place 5th-7th June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity.
We are collaborating with a number of charities in the South East to encourage volunteers from all background to consider becoming Committee Board Members and/or Trustee Directors for an organisation that you feel passionate about.
You can make a difference!
Giving back to the community, and helping others has been shown to improve volunteers’ wellbeing too. Volunteering can also help you gain valuable new skills and experiences, as well as boost your confidence to apply for the directorship role within your own organisation. #NCVO #TalentHackUK

FAQs
What is Volunteering for All?
This year, Volunteers’ Week is about volunteering for all – celebrating the huge range of people who give their time in so many ways.
When thanking your volunteers this year, take a moment to remember each and every one of them. From trustees and campaigners to carers and fundraisers, this is a great time to think about the fantastic contribution all your volunteers make.
What is a non-coding hackathon?
A “hackathon“ is a mashup of the terms “hack” and “marathon.” A “hack” is a quick, creative, and maybe even inelegant but effective solution to a problem or limitation.
For those who don’t have technical backgrounds, or have not yet attracted technical co-founders, non-coding hackathons offer a more relevant experience. Usually, a non-coding hackathon is 12-hour events that target business people, designers and growth hackers as well as corporate entrepreneurs. Our approach allows teams to develop “concept” prototypes without writing computer code. Instead, they use “drag-and-drop” editors, mock-up tools and wireframes to approximate the rapid prototyping common to more traditional hackathons.
