What

TLDR: A hackathon for fonts!

A 48 hour period where type designers, lettering artists, graphic designers, and font engineers (+ anybody interested!) team up to compete and produce a font(s) with a limited character set inspired by the event’s theme (TBA).

Why

Give people the opportunity to experience and explore different disciplines and methods for creating beautiful type, while benefiting a wonderful organization like San Francisco Center For The Book.

Type designers, Letterers, Graphic Designers, Font engineers, Product designers, Typophiles, anybody who wants to learn more about designing type.
