UHack is Tasmania's innovation hackathon - run for student and public innovators - by students and staff from the University of Tasmania.
UHack is running simultaneously in Hobart and Launceston over the weekend of Saturday 27/8 - Sunday 28/8/2016. UHack is open to the public and students.
Register a team, and work over a weekend to develop a software application, a business model and a pitch video, which are presented at the end to our panel of judges. What you develop is up to you – all we ask is you identify an opportunity or solve a problem or need that aligns with the University's research themes.
UHack is not all about programming – it’s also about identifying problems and opportunities, developing a business model, and putting together a pitch video that summarises your project.
We recommend your team is well rounded, with business as well as programming skills. Team sizes should be between 4 and 6 people.
Important - what to do if you don't have a team: If you don't have a team but wish to enter UHack, please register here as an Individual and then attend one of our upcoming UHack meet-up events where you'll have the chance to meet other people and form a team. We'll let you know the details of the meet-ups during August. Alternatively, use our Facebook page to contact other people who might like to form a team with you.
