UnituHack Warwick

    What is UnituHack?

UnituHack is the first student & staff hackathon, bringing them together to form a team for one day to co-create technological innovations and solutions for specific challenges found in universities.

This is an opportunity for all types of university staff and students who may have an idea they would like to create and improve their own academic experience. Attendees do not need to come up with their own ideas, but instead they can join a team once they get to the event.

    What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where people with ideas come together for the purpose of solving a problem that exists, or creating a product that is needed in the real world.

    Why should I go?

Some of the benefits delegates have experienced at our previous event are:

    • Creating solutions to your educational challenges

    • Networking with other staff and students in different universities

    • Developing and learning new professional skills

    • Having free food served to them all day (breakfast, pizza, sandwiches and snacks)

    • Chance to win prizes worth over £1,000

    • Getting some great hackathon swag

    • Having fun and be part of the hackathon community

What are others saying about UnituHack?

"Thank you to you and the team for hosting such a brilliant event. I am particularly interested in student-staff partnerships, and it was a fantastic way to see some front-line work. It is interesting to see the areas that are consistently identified by students as being ‘problematic’- from staying abreast of information to peer support and communication with lecturers (not to mention food!). The atmosphere was incredibly positive and I can only imagine how much work went on to pull together this event."

Rebecca Rochon, Senior Lecturer in Education @ Buckinghamshire New University
