    About This Workshop Series

    As technology changes and more media outlets compete for customers’ time, providing an enjoyable experience is critical to both attracting and keeping users. This class aims to demystify UX by giving a practical and simple introduction to what UX is while also explaining some of its core concepts of usability. This is a field that affects all areas of business — prepare to dip your toes into an ocean of new concepts and ideas that will enlighten your perspective on the human-computer interaction experience.

    10:00-10:30am Demystify what User Experience Design encompasses

    10:30-11:30am Understand, in detail, the design process

    11:30-12:00pm Introduction to the bootcamp project

    12:00-1:00pm Lunch

    1:00-2:00pm Learn compelling storytelling tactics

    2:00-3:00pm Explore user research applied to a specific need

    3:00-5:00pm Workshop on Bootcamp Project

    10-10:30am Learn and Discuss sketching basics

    10:30-11:30am Begin prototyping with Keynote/PopApp

    11:30am-12:00pm Conduct usability testing

    12:00-1:00pm (Working Lunch and continued testing)

    1:00-2:00pm Prepare Presentations

    2:00-4:00pm Presentations of deliverables to the class

    4:00-5:00pm Wrap up, Review and Q&A

    About the Instructor

    Lily Chandrasekher

    Lily lives and breathes user experience design. She has built up research and design skills in various roles as a neuroscientist, product researcher, and technology consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Lily is always working on a design project - she has helped design hackathon-winning projects and award-winning websites and loves every minute of the experience!

    When she's not hatching a design plan for her next project, Lily loves working out, reading voraciously, exploring the vibrant music scene in San Francisco.
