WHAT
Verifone's first-ever Appathon, dedicated to its App Marketplace, invites developers to create innovative customer and merchant apps for Verifone devices.
Take part in two exciting days of learning and building—and of course, games, giveaways and catered meals. Developers will learn about Verifone's best-in-class developer tools and be the first to build apps for the new App Marketplace.
WHY
Today’s point of sale is undergoing a profound transformation, and Verifone is at the center of its evolution. Our newest generation of payment devices—Verifone Engage and Verifone Carbon—leverages the power of a flexible, open architecture to deliver high-impact, interactive experiences. Developers now have the opportunity to interface with hundreds of thousands of consumers daily, as well expose their brand to top retailers.
Three grand prize winners, selected by a panel of judges following the event, will have their app published in Verifone's App Marketplace, in addition to press coverage and showcase during Money20/20 in Las Vegas.
This is a unique opportunity to create business applications, and develop for Verifone before the App Marketplace or its dev tools are formally released.
