vRate API Hackathon

vRate offers APIs to analyze images and detect pornography and obscene content by uniquely applying the latest advances in artificial intelligence

Goal of the Hackathon:

Use the vRate API to create web, desktop or mobile applications that block offensive content before it reaches audiences.   Your application/solution should be creative, effective and practical.   To help you get started, we have a few sample use-cases where this API could be used - 

a) A safe version of a Youtube mobile app that analyzes thumbnails before playing video  

b) A web application that monitors your Facebook or Twitter profile for offensive content posted on your wall or feed and removes them automatically.

Hackathon Start date: 10/30/2016 07.00PM End date: 01/14/2017 10.00PM

Submission rules:

The submission should include the following:

a) Installable package for the mobile, web  or desktop application + 

b) Source code (can use github)

c) Presentation or Youtube Video on how the solution works

d) Team size — no more than 3 students

Cash Prizes (besides CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION):

Winner: INR 10,000

Runner Up: INR 7,500

2nd Runner Up: INR 5,000

Winner will also be provided an incubator (office space, technical advisory and hardware/software resources for 3 additional months to develop and bring to market the USE case) and  to the winning team.
