Yellowdig's Hackathon
We are inviting all student designers and engineers to an interactive workshop hosted at Yellowdig’s office in Center City, Philadelphia. We are a digital platform for inclusive, active, social learning.
In this Hackathon, Yellowdig wants to explore the question: does social learning work?
Through the use of our code, and your creativity, diligence, and collaboration, you can come up with the answer and sharpen your skills. Through this event, not only will you be able to prepare yourself better for the local hackathons like PennApps and DragonHacks, but you will also get access to be mentored by our seasoned professionals, and network with the panel of judges.
Yellowdig’s brand is all about collaboration and communication and so this will not be your typical hackathon: we want to see collaborative teams of experts and beginners working together to solve problems, winning great prizes:
-
1st place: $1,000 and internships to the first place team.
-
2nd place: $500 and mentorship luncheon with Yellowdig’s founder, Shaunak, and VP of Engineering, Shantanu to learn about founding tech startups in Philly.
-
3rd place: $250
The teams should be no more than 3-4 people. As the code will be provided based on our platform, please familiarize yourself by signing up here. More details will be sent out to the participants closer to the date of the evnt. Follow us on Facebook & Twitter for updates!
Event is open to current university students only.
Food will be provided to all participants. We would also like to encourage women in technology to come out and code! If you would like to participate as a volunteer or a mentor, please reach out to Khrys at khrys@yellowdig.com
