Youth Hackathon

SBIA and Suffa learning@SBIA will hold their 1st Youth Hackathon on April 28, 2019 The event will feature two tracks: Hackers and Makers. Hacker teams will create a code based project while Maker teams will work on a project proposal and idea without a complete implementation. Teams can also be composed of Hackers and Makers. The event is targeted to youth aged 13-18 (Grades 8-12). Participants should ideally be in teams of 3-4. Teams may also be formed at the event after registration. Food, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Corporate swag and t-shirts will be provided to all participants. Winning teams will get Amazon gift certificates. Breakout sessions on topics from programming, website creation, artificial intelligence, etc will be conducted by industry professionals from companies such as Amazon, Google, LinkedIn, Cadence, WalmartLabs etc.  The hackathon will run from 9:30am (Registration) through 8pm (Awards ceremony).
