EnergyLab Brisbane Smart Buildings Series: Demand Response
                16 Apr - 05:30 PM
                Fortitude Valley, Australia
Since the construction of the first electricity grid in the late 19th century, progress has followed a predictable path. Matching energy supply to demand is hugely important for a reliable grid, but what if we could instead match the demand to the supply? With IoT technology being integrated into more applications than ever, there is huge potential for controlling energy demand and increasing the efficiency of the grid. In this event, brought to you by EnergyLab, we explore how buildings can react in order to benefit both the building owner and the electricity grid. We hope you can join us for drinks and a discussion on demand response with a panel of experts. This is a chance to meet like-minded people to discuss startup opportunities in smart buildings. Free to attend, drinks provided. The panel Panelists to be announced soon. Timing 5:30pm: Doors open 6:00pm: Panel discussion followed by Q&A with the audience 7:00pm: Continue the discussion over drinks and light snacks 8:00pm: Event concludes About EnergyLab EnergyLab is Australia’s leading platform for launching new energy businesses. EnergyLab Canberra: Trends in Energy Storage & Smart Grids
                    09 Apr - 05:30 PM
                    Griffith, Australia
The energy grid is a colossal system spanning thousands of kilometres. But despite its behemoth nature, the grid has a delicate side. As it stands, unlike grain, or even diamonds, the supply and demand of energy in the grid must perfectly balance at any given moment. This is slowing clean energy penetration, as most sources fluctuate in their power generation. The grid however, has a trick up its sleeve, for as it evolves to be smarter it has the potential to integrate storage resources and even control demand at a granular level. In this event, brought to you by EnergyLab, we’ll explore how an intelligent grid can open the floodgates to clean energy uptake. We hope you can join us for drinks and a discussion on energy storage & smart grids with a panel of experts.  The panel Panel to be announced shortly Timing 5:30pm: Doors open 6:00pm: Panel discussion followed by Q&A with the audience 7:00pm: Continue the discussion over drinks and light snacks 8:00pm: Event concludes About EnergyLab EnergyLab is Australia’s leading platform for launching new energy businesses. EnergyLab Brisbane Smart Buildings Series: Automation
                      19 Mar - 05:30 PM
                      Fortitude Valley, Australia
With the turn of the millennium nearly two decades behind us, and the world changing quicker than ever, smart technology is becoming increasingly commonplace. Whether for cost savings, convenience or efficiency; from recurring orders to automatic bill payments, our obsession with automating our lives is far from unfounded. But how can this approach serve the energy sector? In this event, brought to you by EnergyLab, we explore how building automation can benefit both the occupants and the electricity grid. We hope you can join us for drinks and a discussion on automation with a panel of experts. This is a chance to meet like-minded people to discuss startup opportunities in smart buildings.
