Calling all developers, UX/UI designers and tech creators in Europe! TechCrunch is hosting its next hackathon in conjunction with VivaTech in Paris on the 17-18 May 2019 and is looking for teams of talented hackers to put their ingenuity to the test and build something awesome in just 36 hours. Collaborate and compete for cash prizes for challenges set by EDHEC, Sanofi-Cegedim-IBM, ERAMET, and Corvid by Wix, plus an additional cash prize for the overall winning team.

During a two days game jam the participaiting teams aim to develop first game prototypes on the subject of Europe. The game ideas are to centre around diversity, democracy, and freedom. The prototypes developped will be played and presented on a large LED-screen on the Schlossplatz in the centre of Stuttgart city. The game jam is organised by the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in cooperation with the Institut français Stuttgart and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

Game techies in and around Berlin! You're invited to partcip[ate in the MLH Hackathon - Unity 3D Game Development with C# for an afternoon of Unity 3D hacking. You'll be challenged to create an innovative Unity project -- Jump 'n' Run, Roguelike, mobile game, VR game, or AR experience.

At the beginning of this two-day hackathon, we will help to "matchmake" participants and aid in the formation of multidisciplinary teams (ready-formed teams are also welcome!). Saturday morning will see the event introduced by keynotes from industry, research and practice experts. Teams will be provided with creative material and qualitative data gathered from people living with dementia, as well as research from experts in the area of technology and dementia, in order to inspire them to create assets and environments that might enrich the experiences of those affected by the condition. After a solid 24 hours+ where participants are free to ideate, design, hack and make to their hearts' content, teams will have the opportunity to demonstrate, and present their reasoning behind their design choices to a team of expert judges in dementia care and research, who will award a monetary prize to the winning team.
