Digital Harbor presents the Abilities Hackathon, a collaborative effort to engage the tech community in solving the needs of people with impacted abilities

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), collaboration with Automatic Labs, are pleased to host this Connected Car Hackathon, an event focused on making technologies for the safer smart-driver of tomorrow. Bringing together programmers, developers, artists, technologists, data analysts, environmental stewards, travel behaviour experts, commuters, and others who are interested in using technology to address this region’s transportation challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to use data sets coming from connected cars to build apps and tools that encourage smarter driving, safer driving, and maybe even encourage travellers to consider alternate travel options. So come to develop apps and tools to encourage smart driving and/or solve transportation and mobility challenges!

This mini-hackathon will focus on WebRTC. You will be able to mash-up with other capabilities such as Internet of Things (drones), Artificial Intelligence (Watson and Amazon Alexa), Messaging (Slack), and lots more. Developers get access to the WebRTC Global Summit and the TADHack-mini London winners and runners up pitch at the WebRTC Global Summit for even greater exposure.

This is a hackathon which will take place at the Harvard Innovation Lab at Harvard Business School inviting all entrepreneurs, doctors, law makers, engineers, political specialists, data scientists, managers, students, professionals, and space-fans to come along and address practical issues that arise from space exploration. Hackathon Trieste is a 27-hour marathon non-stop in which teams of programmers, designers and artists will think of and realize services (web and app) that can improve the functioning of the city and the quality of life in Trieste. All teams will be provided with data sets and access to databases relating to mobility and environment.

This is a 48-hour hackathon to reinvent the subway of the future and revolutionize user experience by ALSTOM. The event is open to everyone: developers, makers, engineers, super-holders ... The goal of this challenge is to develop innovative projects using all data at your disposal to revolutionize underground transport. There will be cash prizes for the three best projects!

This a is a hackathon organized to innovate the way we use our cars today! We know that car keys can be avoided, and dashboard information can be projected onto windscreens, but new technologies can help improve or even change the interaction between the car user and the vehicle! There will be a powerful tool available on site, the smartphone; new forms of touchless interaction such as NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy, Visible Light Communication, image recognition or gesture recognition. To think and build on these new possibilities, SEAT and ALTRAN have sponsored this hackathon. This creative event includes tutorials on key technologies. A wide range of devices will be available for use, and a car will be provided to validate the solution that is developed. The idea is for participants to form multidisciplinary teams that can cover different areas of technology development in the automotive industry. Teams will be able to work over a weekend on the design and construction of their projects, and expert design, telecommunication, mechanical, electrical and computer engineers will be on hand to provide advice on any issues that may emerge. Projects will be evaluated by a jury in categories of best idea, best implementation, and best project voted by participants.

The ECIM Hackathon is an App Challenge Competition aiming to foster the use of the ECIM platform, offering standardized access to different mobility related services through common APIs, into the developers’ and start-ups’ communities.
