List of hackathons about bigdata in 2016

Attend this information night to get a head start on the June 10, 2016 Bank of Queensland #boqhackathon competition. You'll hear about the structure of the hackathon, the organizers' tips for success, and an explanation of the three competition tracks. Anyone is welcome to pitch an idea for new technology-based banking solutions to improve customer benefits and experiences. The solutions may fit into one of the following core problem tracks: Big Data for Small Business; Customer Experience; and Creative Genius.

This is a hackathon on the digital future of banking. Participants will be looking at how topics like retail and smart data play a role in the banking world and hack the fin-tech to find new and innovative solutions to questions addressed at the Post/ bank hackathon series. All developers, designers, start-ups, students and everyone who's interested in joining is welcome to join this event in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Bonn.

Financial technology start-ups! Come attend a FinTech event co-hosted by Mouvement Desjardins and MTL NewTech--the non-profit organization for Montreal startup entrepreneurs. The event is designed to bring together new startup projects with programmers, mobile & web entrepreneurs, engineers, journalists and investors. Startups will present their idea and five will be selected for their innovative use of finance and technology.

The NEData meetup is open to anyone interested in open data. You will hear from people and organisations that have used open data, some practical ways of using open data and what datasets they'd like to see opened up by Councils and others. This is a monthly meetup with presentations from people across the UK who are doing some brilliant things with open data. This event is in collaboration with James Rutherford from NE Sparks who have delivered a number of hackathons across the region.

Come attend the hackathon for those who love playing with big data. Hack on projects that involve big amounts of data acquired through APIs or by scraping.  Use common tools such as Python and the Google App Engine.  All projects completed at the hackathon can be fully production ready.  Using AngularJS for mobile, a mobile app can be run natively and used publicly by the end of the hackathon. At the hackathon's conclusion, each team presents their project and each team votes for another team for best hackathon project.

Hackingfest is a hackathon series on software and hardware organized for those developers and designers who are passionate about hacking for real-world issues. Come along to gain new experience, create great projects and make many new friends! Awards will be given out best ideas and projects!

The Anti-pollution Hackathon is inviting all coders, Graphic designers, UX, and Contractors to develop a complete a product in 48 hours that will resolve modern pollution problems. This is a broad topic to code on so you are free to let your creativity go wild. Come meet the needs of private users (startups, service developers, consultants, ...) and/or public (local authorities, State services ...) and leave with products that are full of innovation!

This is a hackathon organised by AT&T Germany bringing together over 100 IT experts to share their skills and experiences and work together to build tools with open data and open knowledge.
