This is the first Content Marketing Hackathon organized by Boston Content to work on marketing skills for early stage startups in need of marketing strategies. An opportunity to work with a completely new team of people, learn brainstorming strategy and get inspired by new ideas while you help a young company succeed with their marketing efforts. The hackathon will kick off with a startup from WeWork presenting their marketing strategies. Next, you will brainstorm to identify the top 3 marketing initiatives that the startup should pursue. Then, you'll break up into 3 groups where you'll spend an hour coming up with ideas for how to tackle one of these initiatives and present their recommendations to the rest of the group. There will be networking before and after the session and drinks and snacks will be provided by General Assembly.

The overall winning Startup for the evening will receive consultation with Sheppard Mullin’s emerging company attorneys, covering incorporation, early stage legal documentation and financing strategies. the IDEATOR is a huge 27 hour hackathon where attendees can tap into the essentials to build a start-up: mentorship, cofounders, training, resources and funding. You will be asked to produce project that match one of the three core tracks: Life Science, Small Business & Social Entrepreneurship or Monash Challenge. Any type of participants regardless of sector or technical knowledge is welcome. There will be coaches and mentors circling. There will be stations to help bring your idea to life, from rapid prototyping to legal, and market intelligence to business model. There will be workshops to help teams understand how to position their idea within the market landscape and refine their pitch. The top three teams from each track will get $500*, 6 months free office space in the GENERATOR’s incubator, INNOVATION ALLEY, automatic entry into Round 2 of the GENERATOR’s PITCH ORIGINATOR competition, and eligibility to apply for an additional $500 follow-on funding within 12 months of the hackathon.
