This hackathon invited you to develop technological solutions for the care of refugees and integration. Get involved at the interface of technology and business for social engagement and humanitarian aid. Challenge yourself with technology for asylum seekers to develop a use-creating application together with Microsoft, the Red Cross, the City of Vienna, the Foreign Ministry, the mobility.builders developer community, WhatAVenture, Tieto, Netidee, pot travel and the developers of the Welcome app from Germany! This event is inviting web and mobile developers, designers and project managers who will be supported by mentors and asylum seekers to come together to brainstorm, develop, prototype and validate. You will be challenged to create either a mobile App, website and/or other technical services to solve problems for communicating with Austrians, overcoming language barriers, the orientation, both spatially and in the official processes, to the exchange of cultural aspects. Best projects will get the chance to win a User Experience Workshop of Tieto, a Device of Microsoft, Startup Packages of WhatAVenture, and Slot for the project presentation at the next Mobile Developer after-work event of mobility.builders.

The Chronic Pain Hackathon is bringing together tech's, UX designers, data scientists, health professionals and people living with chronic pain to design solutions to social isolation, pain and medication management, lifestyle, mental health and other challenges. This event will bring together end users (people living with chronic pain) and hackers to develop a productive prototype for Chronic Pain Australia to give to its members for free. The winning team will either continue working on the application, or hand over the project for further development of the app/website for Chronic Pain Australia members.

This event will bring you leading researchers of animal perception and an Oculus to get a VR taste of what it's like to be a honeybee. There will be a hackathon organized between 24-26 June at FabLab London, where you will get the opportunity to try creating new sensory substitution and augmentation devices.

The Solve for One Hackathon is celebrating the Global Accessibility Awareness Day in LA, inviting all LA’s tech and accessibility communities including hackers, makers, designers, usability experts, accessibility heroes, and basically anyone with a passion for solving real problems, to come together and create prototypes, products, and experiences that will make the world more accessible.
