Join the Red Cross Hackathon focused on the interactions between culture, language, religion, and social cohesion in modern Australia. Participants with a range of perspectives and diverse backgrounds are invited to come together to define a specific ‘problem’ relating to social cohesion and workshop a potential solution in a sprint-style of workshopping. With a clearly defined problem, participants then brainstorm solutions or ‘hacks’ to develop innovative solutions. The types of ideas can be tech-based or not but should focus on an information-drive, systems type solution. Groups will go through an ‘ideation’ phase where they will come up with ideas, a prototype phase where ideas will be tested, and the pitch which will be delivered at the Practitioners’Forum.
