The #UX4Change Hackathon invites you to come and create personas to design sustainable technology for a humanitarian cause. You will take on the challenge of creating personas that reflect women like pregnant young Syrian refugees from Aleppo who have no access to vital pre-natal information. UX for Change is partnering with the HaBaby app team which supports pregnant refugees during their journey through different countries by providing a list of symptoms, actions to take and multilingual support in order to ease the communication with health care providers, who may or may not speak their language.  You will learn how to create personas for HaBaby and work with Subject Matter Experts (SEMs) available during the event to shape the HaBaby project design decisions. There will be prizes for the best team as well as digital badges for participating in the event.

Join this big digital health hackathon to create innovative solutions to fight childhood obesity! You will work alongside fellow healthcare providers, nutritionists, coders, educators, childhood obesity researchers, public health professionals, exercise enthusiasts, parents, students, advocates, city planners, community health organizations, behavior change aficionados, engineers, and other innovators on ideas to HACK THE FAT and help make Miami's children healthier!

AGE-WELL NCE is a national research network in technology and with aim to help older Canadians to maintain their independence, health and quality of life. HHYEG 2016 has adopted the AGE-WELL theme for the hackathon as it perfectly aligns with the objective of Hacking Health: to bring innovation to healthcare and health technology.

Let's work together to address current environmental issues. The theme is "recycling, recovery & economy"! Bring your ideas, your skills, your experience, or just your desire to change things!

ProtoHack.org exists to show non-coders that they can create something amazing from nothing. This hackathon will take a special approach for making up your team and brainstorming ideas. You will take a walk starting at the base of Mount Royal, and walk with your team until you arrive at the hacking destination with a team and a good idea worth prototyping. No coding will be required. Instead you will use prototyping tools, drag and drop editors, mockups, wireframes and other UX tools to visually demonstrate ideas to others. At the end, teams will present their creation to a panel of judges consisting of experienced product owners, designers and developers.

Join the DC Vision Zero Hackathon together with the District Department of Transportation and Open Gov Hub to work on transportation safety and hack data to eliminate traffic-related deaths in the District by 2024. Together with a team you will be asked to analyze information, exchange ideas, and showcase new data visualizations, apps, GIS analysis and other insights to senior city leadership.

A 36-hours hackathon to for building solutions to improve access to care for Veterans faced with mTBI and PTSD, along with identifying new forms of diagnostics. Traumatic Brain Injury has been identified as a “signature injury” of Veterans from Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the time is now to come together to address new opportunities to support Brain Health with the Veteran population. Winners of the events will be invited to come present their innovations as part the Innovation Showcase at the April event!
