AquaHacking 2017 United for Lake Erie

AquaHacking is a five-month long hack-a-thon that catalyzes stakeholders who want to protect our freshwater – citizens, decision makers, practitioners, researchers, NGOs – to take action. AquaHacking challenges young digital designers and coders, aspiring water experts and entrepreneurs to develop applications that raise awareness about water issues, and that solve water problems. There is $75,000 in prize money available, in addition to access to local accelerators and mentors for winning teams. The Challenge: Water experts, hackers, engineers, and other creative minds work together as a team for 10 weeks to develop functional, marketable innovations to help solve Lake Erie’s water issues. The competition runs from April - September, with semi-finals in June and the finals in September. Anyone 18 or older is welcome. We are looking for creative minds, whatever their field of expertise, but especially students, water researchers, developers, digital designers, programmers, engineers, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and people who want to save the world!
