The Palm Beach Tech Association invites technology professionals, enthusiasts, and stakeholders to the Palm Beach Tech Hackathon.

Join Umbraco for the Umbraco UK Festival’s famous Hackathon, and help bash some Umbraco bugs. The Hackathon and Bug Fixathon is dedicated to eliminating all of those pesky glitches that you come across on a daily basis but never have the time to do combat with. Fear not, some of the Umbraco HQ crew will be on hand to help out. But, be warned, there are only 75 spaces, so make sure you let us know before it’s too late.

Interested in environmental issue? Come and participate in the first Copernicus open data hackathon in Austria! You'll have access to data sets collected by Copernicus, the European system for monitoring the Earth. Copernicus data are related to the following fields: »Atmosphere Monitoring »Marine Environment Monitoring »Land Monitoring »Climate Change »Emergency Management »Security Your challenge will be to create a valuable application that leverages Copernicus data! For example: »Do you have a ground-breaking idea that addresses a current environmental or societal problem? »How would you use Sentinel data to create new information-rich products? »Which application of Copernicus data could you develop that could be commercially viable? »How to combine and exploit Open Data together with Earth Observation data to generate additional benefit?

Whether you are a bootstrapped founder, engineer, doctor, PhD scientist, business hacker, or student, you are invited to join this must attend Hackathon. Global Startup Hackathon is open to anyone who is planning to start, work, mentor or fund a startup. If you are seeking to launch a startup across a large market, you will enjoy this chance to mingle and network with potential co-founder, partner, corporate clients or investors along top industry domain experts. This event will focus on Digital, IoT, Health/BioTech, CleanTech, or Media.

Join the hustle and bustle of New York City with some of the biggest investors, hackers and creators in the nation at the Harlem Tech Week NYC Event. This event will include a wide range of activities to participate in, but since you're here, you're most likely interested in the hackathon events. There will be multiple hackathon events to choose from in which you will create an app based on the topic of the event, each hackathon will have prizes and judges to be announced at a later date!

This is an on-line challenge, so from the comfort of your own home or office, you can use the vRate API to build a web, desktop or mobile app that will block offensive content! Your app should be creative, effective and practical. You'll build and test your solution and then submit it for judging. The winning individual or team will also be provided with an incubator slot for 3 months to help them finalize and bring their solution to market.

Yeshiva University students! Sign up for Invent:YU Israel, a 24-hour hackathon where you'll team up to turn your ideas into tangible products. Build anything from apps and websites to robots and drones to win prizes. This year's hackathon is in collaboration with the YU Tamid Group and YU Israel Club. The hackathon will include a tech fair of Israeli startup companies, where you will learn more about Israel's tech community.

Designers, developers, marketing specialists and students! Interested in how digital technology can reshape the travel industry? Participate in TravelHack! in Milan. You'll collaborate to rethink how technologies can help improve the customers travel experience. You'll be able to focus on the stages of the customer journey: discovery, planning, booking, preparation, living, sharing, or remembering to create an innovative travel experience.

Open research is much more than open access. It is about making all aspects of the research process open to all possible interested parties. Attendees have 4 hours to take concrete steps to make their own research more open. Ideas include sharing a dataset, setting up a research blog or project website, planning an engagement project, pitching a news article, or creating a video biography or a podcast.
