This hackathon aaims to help those in need! It will bring together developers, designers, entrepreneurs and community members to develop creative tech solutions to help refugee families settle into the Australian community. Former refugees who have already settled in Australia will participate in the event to help teams deeply understand problems and challenges faced by new settlers and co-design solutions. Prizes will include runner up prize package of $3,000 sponsored by LawPath includes a free company registration, 12 month subscription to 200+ customisable legal documents and a $300 discount off the first legal quote. A free 3 month LawPath account will also be available for all attendees. So what are you waiting for? During one weekend this weekend a combination of technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, creative people, business people, community leaders, visionaries and other enthusiasts of faith and technology will come together to use technology in matters relating to society, communities, families, and spiritual life. Come along to hack for kingdom, come up with and build on influencing ideas by creating technologies that matter. You will foster friendship, passion, purposefulness and cooperation in technical and entrepreneurial environments. There will also be a jury to award the best projects!

This is a hackathon sponsored by Consoft Systems and organized with the support of the I3P, Innovative Enterprise Incubator of the Politecnico di Torino around food. Come along to developing new technology or a business ideas that can be applied to today's food chain! Things you may be working on are precision farming technologies; solutions that enable the consumer to know if the food they are going to buy contains allergens or food to which he's intolerant; solutions that enable the restaurateurs to easily write on the menu all the potential allergens present in the dishes; any other idea that integrates hardware and/or software technologies to the food chain.

UNT Sustainability Hackathon will give students the power to affect real change towards a more sustainable campus.  The We Mean Green Fund has partnered with Innovation Greenhouse to host a hackathon the weekend prior to Earth Day 2016.  Students will work to solve important issues of campus sustainability related to water conservation, energy conservation, biodiversity, alternative transportation, air quality, carbon footprint, and other issues of environmental concern. All projects will have the opportunity to submit a complete proposal to the We Mean Green Fund, and can have their vision of a sustainable campus brought to reality!  Participants will have access to experts in the sustainability field, and thought-provoking lectures will be held. Leave your mark at UNT, reduce UNT’s impact on the environment, and gain valuable experience in project leadership as you collaborate to hack UNT’s sustainability!

This is a global hackathon organized by Time Inc. NBBJ and PowerToFly to invent the workplace of the future. The challenges for this event include creating technology that allows distributed teams to connect in serindipidous ways, creating a virtual watercooler, building technology that allows culture to flow across locations, making portals across the globe, and crafting new technology that brings remote workers into structured meetings and brainstorming sessions.

This is a special immigration-themed design sprint workshop bringing together forward-thinking designers, hackers, and legal & policy experts to learn and apply the best practices in design thinking and hereby inspire creative new solutions to problematic issues in immigration. The three primary goals of this event are on finding creative ideas tested with real immigrants from different backgrounds, bringing together legal/policy experts, design thinkers, and technologists who wouldn’t otherwise meet, and to build a community and continue what you have started at the Startup Weekend Immigration.

The Advance Team and GDG ENSI, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and the Digital Economy Technologies, are organizing the first edition of their flagship event "Hack4TN". The theme of this event is "Young Gathered For A More Sure Tunisia". A theme that applies to both the field of ICT as well as any other area. Be prepared for a unique experience! Hack4TN will include: a panel discussion where experts will be invited to discuss a topic related to the theme, lectures presented by national and international renowned speakers, a hackathon where young programmers develop an application that could really contribute to the development of Tunisia, booths where partners can showcase their companies and their products, and several workshops on various themes!

This is the second Sheffield Refugee Hackathon taking place at Yoomee's offices at the Electric Works. Come along to get to know the people who came last time, if you did't already and catch up on the projects created then. If there are more people, participants will be forming teams to look at some new ideas. So Bring your laptop and join this event to hack for refugees!

The Unearthed hackathon is a 54-hour long open innovation event for software developers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and industry insiders to come together and develop prototype solutions to energy and resources sector challenges. Participants will have a chance to work on proprietary industry data as well as data from our government partners. Cash prizes and real business opportunities are all up for grabs. There will be a range of challenges from global resources companies as well as proprietary data. If you don’t have a team, you can form one at the prelaunch event and on the opening evening.
