Cognibox is organizing a "product" Hackathon to gather developers, students and environments professionals. The challenge is to quickly encode something smart in 30 hours. Winners will be selected and awarded at the end of the event. Prizes include a scholarship offered by La Financière Banque Nationale.

"Open Hardware Hackathon" created for enthusiasts, students, professionals and entrepreneurs to provide the opportunity to experiment with open hardware, using tools like Arduino (Open Hardware rapid prototyping tool) and explore its operation. The main objective of this event is to promote the use and development of Open Hardware as a tool for dissemination and democratization of knowledge, proposing prototypes and projects focusing on solving social problems through high-impact technology solutions.

Hull UK City of Culture Hackathon is inviting marketing agents and digital companies to come together and work on a hack involving data around an aspect of the City of Culture and exploring its key digital themes. Attending will be David Watson, Head of the City of Culture’s digital team, along with Microsoft officials who will be providing guidance, experience and training to those who get involved.

This event is exclusively for female entrepreneurs. But male developers are welcome to provide tech support. Developers with an understanding of the basics of coding, designers for graphics, industrial or UI, marketers are all welcome! There will be a training Seminar to get the girls from ‘zero’ coding experience to coding-ready. You will get 52 hours to make your product reality.

From January 25th to 30th, iSpace is hosting The Social Impact Week to use tech for social change. Learn about pursuing impactful careers, how to launch a successful social enterprise, and where social entrepreneurship is headed in Ghana today. The event starts off with a hackathon from which the 3 top teams will go on to building an MVP @iSpace, a tech and creative innovation hub where like-minded and focused entrepreneurs can collaborate and co-create. The goal is to promote and support entrepreneurs and innovators in Ghana who are building new technologies for local and global markets.

There will be three or four social projects/websites with a specific problem that need help solving. Participants can use the network as a playground for their ideas together with mentors for web applications with JavaScript. It is a playful program for you to learn and meet new people! Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS would be nice but are not a must!

Join Dev Bootcamp for its January Civic-Themed Hackathon! You don't have to be an expert to join this hackathon. In fact, there will be beginner coding workshops alongside the event and teams and project ideas will be formed based on skill level and interest!

Too many children are at risk of being trafficked for sex and a majority of those victimized in the sex trade are recruited and sold via the web. Developers, engineers, coders, and other experts - the world needs your help!

The Herothon hackathon invited anyone between 18 and 30 to come and build on products that will have the potential to solve some of the world’s problems. The themes include Education, Transportation, Government, Energy, Health, and Currency. The winning team will have the opportunity to pitch to over a 100 investors on Draper University Pitch Day March 2nd, 2016.

The Impact Hub Dubai workshop gives you 2 hours to learn how to convert your startup idea into a prototype.
