INDUSTRY 4.0-CYBERSECURITY HACKATHON

The hackathon will seek to create a knowledge exchange platform on threat identification in an ICS environment through the use big data and machine learning. The concept is meant to elucidate a Cybersecurity solution that identifies vulnerable points in an IIoT system through a machine learning algorithm that makes use of IIoT generated data and defined features. It will also explore the nature of ICS technology, the associated threat landscape and how Big Data processing can help play a role in the security of the overall industrial control systems. In principle, the concept of the challenge will be in the form of “Capture The Flag”. The concept is led by AMNET Cyberdefence Netron in collaboration with @iLabAfrica Research Centre of Strathmore University and VMWare.

You're invited to participate in a Hackathon for International Women’s Day which is focussed on the use of AI to help drive sustainability. You'll be challenged to use your AI skills to create a prototype solution that tackles your choice of some of the world's most pressing problems. For example, your project could be an AI solution that: - Identifies endangered animals & species by using Computer Vision, or - Assists refugees and people in need by using speech-to-text services, or - Helps learning disabled people improve their skills and understanding through a comination of both technologies. Your project could be something else completely, but it must be designed to be fair, inclusive, reliable & safe, transparent, respect privacy, and have accountability. Present your prototype to a panel of judges for the chance to win a 5000kr cash prize.
