THEPort Association in partnership with the Geneva Creativity Center (GCC), the SITG, the HUG and TPG have have joined together to organize this Open Geneva Hackathon 2016. Come along to form teams with individuals from the most various fields and backgrounds and with different age, gender and agenda, to face the challenge of creating your projects’ prototype in a tight 60 hours workshop and present it. The topics you will be asked to chose from are: Navigation for People with Visual Impairment, Forecasting Emergencies, On-line Hospital Registration, Health Data Collecting and Handling, Preventing Suicide by Tech-Assisted Means, and Sensor Sock for babies with Clubfoot. The public is welcome to attend the final presentations and entrance is free of charge!

This is a hackathon on communication in education for developers, parents and early years teachers with ideas for edtech products for children aged 4 to 8. Your challenges will be to develop a literacy app or platform to help children to articulate and express their ideas and experiences verbally, to other challenges involved in school readiness including physical well-being and motor development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, and cognition and general knowledge, creating a platform for parents to get connected to other parents.

In an era of Connectedness, we still face rising tides of loneliness, need for authentic connection through our life course and the challenge of preserving vitality. Clinicians, Carers, Consumers and Policymakers are navigating their way through the maze of technology changes + challenges, but need help sorting signal from noise, fact from fiction, progression from stasis and decay. Our Hackathon experience at the University of Newcastle will give early career exposure and cross-disciplinary design experiences to ICT, Design, Business and Health students, informed and shaped by experienced clinicians, consumers and carers on contemporary healthcare issues. Their challenge, over 54hrs, will be to design + develop 1st generation technical prototypes to address a healthcare problem with targeted use of contemporary technology. In doing so, our event attendees will develop a strong working understanding of the challenges, constraints and possibilities in an intensive crucible of health+tech curiosity. Our event winners will be eligible for a range of cash and in-kind incentives from local companies and Sydney technology incubators. The Intel® IoT Roadshow is coming to Amsterdam and wants to make sure each of you are set-up with the resources you need.This meetup will teach you all about the Intel® IoT Developer Kit at A Lab Amsterdam. The challenges for this event include creating technology that allows distributed teams to connect in serindipidous ways, creating a virtual watercooler, building technology that allows culture to flow across locations, making portals across the globe, and crafting new technology that brings remote workers into structured meetings and brainstorming sessions.

The Droidcon Italy hackathon is about Android development in general, with particular focus on new trends such as wearable, IoT, material design and more. The theme to be followed will be announced on the first day of the hackathon!

This is a hackathon for Apple TV, Android TV and Chromecast organized by STRV open to all interested developers and designers. There are no restrictions so you can let your creativity flow and work on any Apple TV/Android TV/Chromecast App you like. You will be provided with devices to test your apps and of course plenty of food and beverages throughout the day.
