The city of Paris will open its data and Alstom will share it’s datas on the metros equipped with sensors, so you’ll code in real conditions. No restriction, you can develop either mobile or web apps or connected objects, only your imagination is the limit. The Athens Chatbot Hackathon is inviting all cities around the world to build applications utilizing chat, messaging, and other natural language interfaces such as voice to interact with people, brands, or services and bots in the conversational commerce space. You could use bots to integrate with other services, post comments remotely or control a smart home, create custom tools providing you with alerts, weather forecasts, translations, or other services upon request, build single- and multiplayer games, build social services, or anything else that is virtually anything else!

This hackathon is a first of its kind project that will bring together the Montreal Innovation community to respond to some of the biggest challenges facing existing industries like real-estate and building construction, together with the emerging solutions being developed by large companies and startups alike working to develop technological solutions that will make the infrastructure, ‘smarter’, easier to manage, and connected with the world. This event's main goal is to create an open-source platform that enables various Internet of Things (IoT), analytical and energy efficiency platforms to work together so that they can modernize the user experience in every building. This first #HacktheHouse will focus on making the various hardware and software solutions work together to provide a more personalized experience to the ‘smart’ building users.

This hackathon is hosted by the global leader in connected software experiences, Connected Lab, exploring voice-based user interfaces for Alexa, the software that supports Amazon’s Echo hardware. Alexa’s Skills enable people to interact with connected devices using just their voice. Attendees will build voice capabilities, called Skills, for Alexa. The Amazon team will provide training prior to the hackathon for using Amazon Web Services with the Alexa Skills Kit. Please bring your laptop and any other hardware devices you want to integrate with Alexa. Prizes include Amazon Echos, Amazon featuring the winners on Amazon’s developer blog, and Connected Lab offering a chance to interview for a full time position or paid internship!

Code Liberation invites is inviting all women who have an interest in making games, websites, apps, and/or interactive physical objects for the Women's History Month hackathon. Take inspiration and learn from some pretty boss ladies, especially in STEM such as Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, Mae Jemison, the ENIAC ladies, Donna Haraway just to name a few.
