Ready for round 2? POWER UP WITH HUAWEI is back, and this time the stakes are high! This tech POWERHOUSE is searching far and wide for electrical engineering students ranging from Bachelors to PhDs to take on a Zero Carbon challenge. Many countries around Europe have already released their 'Zero Carbon' plan for the years 2050 and 2060, and now it is your job to help them reach that goal by creating a High Efficiency Isolated Bidirectional DC/DC Converter for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). From the start, you can see the complications, making this exciting. The competition will be split up into two phases, an ideation phase and a prototyping phase, each equally important. The ideation phase will take place from the 5th of December 2022 to the 9th of January 2023. The Prototyping phase will take place from the 16th of January to the 8th of May, 2023. Bring your creativity and skills to this 4-month project and race towards the 20,000€ prize pool! With your help, a sustainable tomorrow can be around the corner. Techies and designers in and around Dayton, Ohio! Launch Dayton invites you to sign up to take part in the Gemtec Hackathon during Launch Dayton Startup Week!. From 4 pm Monday until noon Thursday, you'll be challenged to tackle a real-world IoT problem for one of Dayton's top companies! These companies use food preparation equipment made by the Henny Penny manufacturing firm. These machines are IoT capable and collect a wealth of valuable data ranging from controller id and oil temperature to error codes and element currents. You'll be tasked with designing and prototyping a tool with a web-based front end that allows users to sort, filter, and analyze the data. Come with a team, or join one at the event — prototype your solution in three days and pitch it to a jury of Henny Penny leaders for your shot at $10K to further develop your solution. The GLOBAL AI CHALLENGE, which originally debuted in China in 2019, has expanded into an international contest since 2020. The annual event has attracted many participants from colleges and universities and acted as a hub for a wealth of innovative solutions created by the contest's participants, which owes much to their creative thinking, sophisticated design, and integrated development. This contest consists of 3 proposals. Proposal 1: Knowledge-driven spoken dialogue; Proposal 2: Intelligent quality inspection of lane rendering data; Proposal 3: CTR prediction through cross-domain data from ads and news feeds.
