Learn Do Share is an OS (Operating System) based on open and collaborative storytelling, play and design that deploys on events, labs, projects and brings together an international community of innovators who believe in the power of creativity. This is an annual three day event for innovators, entrepreneurs, students, professionals, researchers audiovisual sectors of the web, transmedia, video games, design, entertainment, around innovative content and storytelling.

This is a hackathon for Apple TV, Android TV and Chromecast organized by STRV open to all interested developers and designers. There are no restrictions so you can let your creativity flow and work on any Apple TV/Android TV/Chromecast App you like. You will be provided with devices to test your apps and of course plenty of food and beverages throughout the day. You will also get a chance to meet the STRV team together with their own developers to give you a hand in case you need it. You can register in a team or alone.

Hip-Hop Hacks is a two-day hackathon for high school students to explore technology's role in hip-hop and how the most popular genre in the world inspires technological innovation. Since the beginning, hip-hop has evolved together with technology, from turntables and microphones to mediums like vinyl, compact cassettes, mp3s, and now apps and algorithms. Students will study the elements of hip-hop, participate in code and music workshops, network with other students, and learn from music- and tech-industry veterans.

Some World Games, designed by Farzin Farzin, is an immersive installation as part of Closed Worlds, an exhibition curated by Lydia Kallipoliti that presents 41 historical prototypes of closed resource regeneration systems. Visitors will be guided along a continuous loop by custom designed virtual reality headsets suspended from a kinetic track. Through the installation, you will explore the historical content of the exhibition in a virtual visual and aural field. This will be a day-long hackathon utilizing this interface to invite coders, game designers, architects, artists, filmmakers, and others to collaborate and create new worlds. You will be asked to develop tools for virtual exploration and convert kinetic energy into virtual energy to generate both new agencies within systems of display and new engagements with control objects. Basic digital assets will be provided in advance. Teams are free to create any type of content they wish resulting in a single virtual reality experience that will be uploaded to each headset. At the end of the hackathon, each team will have ten minutes to frame and present its work. At the end of the day there will be a quick Q&A session followed by a wine reception!

SOCIHACKS is a hackathon organized in honor of earth month in collaboration with the Small Business Institute of California State University Channel Islands. This event will provide an interactive hackathon where 100 young girls (ages 9-12) from underserved areas of Ventura County will get to work together in teams to develop websites and videos focused on raising awareness about the environment.
