This is a 36-hour hack-a-thon organized for the students of the University of Rochester. The event invites all computer programmers and others involved in engineering fields to collaborate on hardware and software projects and help students and programmers express their creativity and bring their ideas to practice. All levels of programming and CS experience are welcome. There will be free food, coffee and snacks, cool workshops, free T-shirts, and prizes will be given out to best projects!

The Start:up Maribor Hackathon 2016 is inviting all coders, tech enthousiasts and hustlers to join the First Start:up Hackathon in Maribor, Slovenia, for two days of hard work, socializing and having fun. The hackathon's aim is to code for innovative in mobile applications, virtual reality and augmented reality. You'll have the top technological equipment, ie several pieces of Glass, Viarbox and Oculus Rift, as well as the best mentoring support of experienced developers of cutting-edge solutions! Apart from the prize for the winning team, all participants will receive a Nova KBM "goody bag".

This hackathon is inviting all developers and artists to be one of the first ones to get a hands-on experience with Holus and giving them the opportunity to create and test out one of the first holographic applications on Holus. Holus is a tabletop platform that converts any digital content from a computer, tablet or smartphone into a 3D, holographic experience. Game developers can create 3D holographic games, 3D modellers can visualize their creations, and families can bring back board game nights. Businesses can integrate Holus into their service or processes to enhance customer experiences and increase efficiency. The possibilities are endless!

This is a hackathon is hosted by Agora partnering with BitTigeron to build creative new applications for cutting-edge real time communication through mobile devices. Agora is developing the next generation of web RTC technology, and is already working with some of the biggest mobile application producers like Xiaomi. Very fast voice and video calls open up new possibilities for collaboration and communication. This is an open-ended challenge, you are free to come up with whatever you want. Examples of user cases could be collaborative e-learning, social applications, dating apps, customer service, telehealth, gaming, etc. Participants are allowed to begin work on the projects as soon as the official announcement and registration link opens Participants must incorporate either the iOS or Android SDK and a real-time-communication feature as a core part of the project. Otherwise it is an open challenge. The final coding workshop session, with support from BitTiger teachers, will be on Saturday and final demos will be presented. People are welcome to join even if they cannot attend the final in-person workshop on March 26th. There will be a live stream for remote participants to present their demos.

Come to this UX/UI bootcamp for an evening of AR, VR, and UI. As an individuals or as a teams you will work on developing innovative interface elements for AR and VR experiences. UI patterns in the AR/VR space are nascent and device-dependent. Participants are encouraged to consider UI elements for the following interaction technologies: hand-object (Leap Motion, Meta), reticle-object (Cardboard, Gear VR), or controller-object (Oculus Touch, Vive). Bring your own headset in case you would like to test and demonstrate your UI. All participants interested in developing UI elements for AR/VR are welcome!

The 7HACK 2016 is opening their doors to internal and external developers, designers and idea generators to team up for a 24 hours challenge around entertainment. P7S1 is currently focusing on three main areas: HbbTV & Addressable TV, personalizations, and user engagement along the customer journey.
