Girls and boys in 4th through 8th grades! Random Hacks of Kindness, Jr. invites you to participate in Hacking for Refugees—a 3-hour virtual coding program. Participants will hear from Divine Mahoundi, a refugee from the Republic of the Congo, who arrived in the U.S. in 2016. She will share her story of resilience and her decision to be an agent for social change. Participating students will then work in pairs with mentors over Zoom to create a prototype smartphone app that addresses the refugee crisis.
