PVS Hackfest

A hackathon is an event that gathers experienced computer programmers with different skill sets to “hack” or work collaboratively, on a software project. PVS HACKFEST is an annual community themed hackathon hosted by Pearlville School, a co-educational secondary school in Imo State focused on building leaders of the future. The event is for computer science and IT enthusiasts and will also include a special “Girls in Tech” recognition. During the hackathon, participants will be challenged to innovate the next big idea – a sustainable service or product for the community – as the need for this is inevitable given the current status of our economy. We hope that this hackathon will lead to future developments and equip the youth to instill innovation and creative thinking as part of their lifestyle.
