Os convocamos a la Dataton “Datos Abiertos por el asociacionismo con un foco en perfiles edades y gente mayor” del 29 de septiembre, organizada con el fin deidentificar datos abiertos relevantes para las asociacionescon un foco especial en la participación de la gente mayor. Desde Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data y junto con elConsell d’Asociaciones de Barcelonay laUnión Democrática de Pensionistas y Jubilados de España, hemos organizado el proyecto“Los datos abiertos, herramienta para fortalecer el asociacionismo de Barcelona”. La dataton estáabierta a la participación de personas expertas en asociacionismo y daters (análisis de datos y visualitzación de datos). Todas las personas participantes en la Dataton serán citadas como coautoras del conjunto de datos final. This is our first event in association with Casa do Impacto at their space and the exciting news is that we have over €7500 in problem bounties up for grabs. Here is your chance to work alongside other smart people contributing your skills towards real projects tackling societal issues that align with your values. This event is an all-day experiment in radical, cooperative problem-solving in which we rapidly move through the process of problem pitching, project ideation, team formation, prototype construction and validation to create proof of concept game-changing projects that can put a real dent in serious societal issues. Two Saturdays later at our Buildathon we will attempt to build the MVP's of the winning projects. Anyone can pitch a problem or a project and participation is open to the public (provided you complete all the onboarding steps and are approved prior to the event). The event only happens if we get to at least 20 approved participants by September 9th. Judges will have the ability to invest actual capital in projects they like. You can earn stake in projects created at the event by helping promote it via social media or by helping put up posters in cowork spaces with your custom QR code. All participants will receive a 1-year Zomato Pro membership free that gets you up to 30% discounts at participating restaurants around Lisbon. We will have startup mentors from Startup Lisboa, Canopy City & Beta-I joining us at lunch time to coach the teams. And we do a demo night at 6pm where you'll be pitching to investors and competing for a chance to earn a real investment for your project as well as donated builder labor to create the MVP the following Saturday. There is no better way to make meaningful relationships than contributing your skills in the pursuit of solving meaningful problems.

This year's Holy Hack will provide students with the opportunity to work on the most interesting cases from the best companies in their respective sectors. In teams of 3-5 students, your group will develop a product and work out a business plan. In just 24 hours, you will go from idea to prototype, and eventually pitch your invention.
