Designers, developers, prototyping and automation enthusiasts are invited to a day of collaboration to solve one of the following five needs of people with disabilities: 1. TURN ON - OFF: Develop switch activated by limited body movements 2. COMMUNICATE: Develop instruments to express YES / NO; I'M THIRSTY - I WOULD LIKE COFFEE; I WANT TO GO OUT; I WANT TO REST. 3. MARK TIME: Develop tools to indicate the time, its passing and to guide the sequence of activities, times of the day. 4. MOVE YOURSELF: Develop tools which identify obstacles and give indications of full / empty. 5. RECEIVE SENSORY INPUTS: Create visual, auditory, and tactile inputs through technology that the person can choose and experiment.

High school students! Come alone or with your team of up to 4 hackers and participate in Space Apps Next Gen — the first two-day high school space hackathon. You'll compete to build software, open hardware, data visualization, and citizen science platform solutions that contribute to space exploration and solve global challenges that focus on improving life on earth. Challenges this year are: →DATA DIVE: Create an app, data aggregator, or visualization of open NASA data to educate and involve the public with trends and information. →SENSOR YOURSELF: Build something that can allow robots or astronauts to navigate through a hazardous obstacle course relying solely on sensor data. →"SPACE INVADERS": Create a game set in space! Have fun and be creative! →CREATE YOUR OWN: As long as it relates to space science or is an innovative solution to a problem your team can solve, create your own 'Space App'!

Coders, designers, techies! Come join the fun at Code Network Winter -- a 54-hour event to prototype projects and compete for awesome prizes. Code Network Winter is a competition where the goal is simply to build the coolest stuff possible! Previous hackathon competitors have included in-browser desktop environments, a city wide pong mobile game, business validated and built mobile applications, machine learning generated art, multi-player robotic arm game and many more projects. The breadth of projects at a Code Network Hackathon is significant. Judging criteria is simply based on the most impressive project.
