This is a hackathon organized to hack for today's travelers. Here's your chance to invent new digital apps to ease their journey. Produced by Tnooz and co-presented by Hotelbeds, THack Mallorca will take place at the University of the Balearic Islands. The weekend offers access to APIs and other technology provided by leading travel technology companies to help you create the best hospitality solutions. Among the API and technology providers are Hotelbeds, with its hotel bedbank, TAB transfers/activities bank and Taxi Time APIs, Booking.com's first public launch of its API, Musement's activities API, Rome2Rio's multi-modal transport API and XapiX, which provides software enabling direct connection to e-commerce API endpoints. The hackathon will be organized as two contests. One track will be for students, the other track will be for professional developers both with the focus on disruptiing and innovating in the travel and hospitality industries, with emphasis on mobile applications that enhance traveler experiences. Developers will be offered discount accommodations by Hotelbeds on Mallorca or other destinations in Hotelbeds' private-label database of hotels and resorts.

VentureLAB is hosting the 4th annual GO OPEN DATA CONFERENCE 2016 (GOOD16), supporting innovative entrepreneurs, many of whom use open data to build businesses based on open data or create disruptive solutions to an existing problem. The theme for this year's conference is "Better Living Through Open Data." Focusing on how open data can be used to create innovative solutions and new businesses that help address community problems such as transportation or affordable housing. Anyone is welcome to join this event, open data is the potential to create a better future for everyone!

Blue Weekend is an event focused on solving challenges and the development of technological projects in the marine sector. Meet for 2 days with 50 people with different profiles, concerns and problem-solving to address challenges in the marine sector, both in the port field, such as sports, fishing, science, etc. with the aim to solve challenges related to the sea. You and your team will have about 48 hours to create prototypes that solve the challenge chosen and present it to other colleagues and jury.

This event is a collaboration between Lava Lab, Submarine Channel & Creative Coding Amsterdam and is open to everyone, regardless of experience. During this event, there will be a virtual reality hackathon based on the project 'De Pont'. You'll be making movies, games or interactive storytelling experiences. The theme is Amsterdam Noord and the ferry that crosses the IJ.

The inaugural ATHackathon aims to create innovative tools to track & analyze data related to trafficking. Human Trafficking is a multi-billion dollar criminal industry that enslaves over 20 million people around the world. Reliable data remains a major challenge at the heart of anti-human trafficking efforts. Lack of data = lack of issue legitimacy, data informed solutions, and public awareness. Come and be part of a change!

At this Hackathon developers will have approximately 24 hours to turn their ideas into applications using their own programming skills and design, working in teams of 4 people, with the support of experts. Teams will be free to use any programming language in order to develop applications that improve the community. What you will need is your laptop with charger, cell phone charger, gadgets, blanket or sleeping bag for the night, personal cleaning articles. The event is completely free of charge and anyone who has the skills to develop software (students, programmers, freelancers and anyone who knows develop code) is welcome!

This is the second edition of Space Apps Lyon together with NASA's international innovation. Participants will meet, sympathize and form teams to solve real problems of humanity on earth and in space. There will be more than 10 000 participants in 160 cities in the world! Space Apps will take place over one whole weekend to produce solutions for challenges provided by NASA themselves! The event is mainly aimed for developers, but is open to everyone regardless of their skills! Access to a mobile FabLab will be offered and meals are included. The six different themes offered by NASA include: Earth, aerospace, solar system, space station, travel to Mars and technology.

The Dublin Airport Hackathon is welcoming all engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and intrepid travellers to improve Dublin's Airport through invention, exploration and disruption. Registration for the event is €20.00, however this will be reimbursed with a €20.00 loop voucher at Dublin Airport, for a unique shopping experience!

UNT Sustainability Hackathon will give students the power to affect real change towards a more sustainable campus.  The We Mean Green Fund has partnered with Innovation Greenhouse to host a hackathon the weekend prior to Earth Day 2016.  Students will work to solve important issues of campus sustainability related to water conservation, energy conservation, biodiversity, alternative transportation, air quality, carbon footprint, and other issues of environmental concern. All projects will have the opportunity to submit a complete proposal to the We Mean Green Fund, and can have their vision of a sustainable campus brought to reality!  Participants will have access to experts in the sustainability field, and thought-provoking lectures will be held.
