Learn Do Share is an OS (Operating System) based on open and collaborative storytelling, play and design that deploys on events, labs, projects and brings together an international community of innovators who believe in the power of creativity. This is an annual three day event for innovators, entrepreneurs, students, professionals, researchers audiovisual sectors of the web, transmedia, video games, design, entertainment, around innovative content and storytelling.

Some World Games, designed by Farzin Farzin, is an immersive installation as part of Closed Worlds, an exhibition curated by Lydia Kallipoliti that presents 41 historical prototypes of closed resource regeneration systems. Visitors will be guided along a continuous loop by custom designed virtual reality headsets suspended from a kinetic track. Through the installation, you will explore the historical content of the exhibition in a virtual visual and aural field. This will be a day-long hackathon utilizing this interface to invite coders, game designers, architects, artists, filmmakers, and others to collaborate and create new worlds. You will be asked to develop tools for virtual exploration and convert kinetic energy into virtual energy to generate both new agencies within systems of display and new engagements with control objects. Basic digital assets will be provided in advance. Teams are free to create any type of content they wish resulting in a single virtual reality experience that will be uploaded to each headset. At the end of the hackathon, each team will have ten minutes to frame and present its work. At the end of the day there will be a quick Q&A session followed by a wine reception!

The Start:up Maribor Hackathon 2016 is inviting all coders, tech enthousiasts and hustlers to join the First Start:up Hackathon in Maribor, Slovenia, for two days of hard work, socializing and having fun. Come to this UX/UI bootcamp for an evening of AR, VR, and UI. As an individuals or as a teams you will work on developing innovative interface elements for AR and VR experiences. UI patterns in the AR/VR space are nascent and device-dependent. Participants are encouraged to consider UI elements for the following interaction technologies: hand-object (Leap Motion, Meta), reticle-object (Cardboard, Gear VR), or controller-object (Oculus Touch, Vive). Bring your own headset in case you would like to test and demonstrate your UI. All participants interested in developing UI elements for AR/VR are welcome!

The Athens Chatbot Hackathon is inviting all cities around the world to build applications utilizing chat, messaging, and other natural language interfaces such as voice to interact with people, brands, or services and bots in the conversational commerce space. You could use bots to integrate with other services, post comments remotely or control a smart home, create custom tools providing you with alerts, weather forecasts, translations, or other services upon request, build single- and multiplayer games, build social services, or anything else that is virtually anything else!

Code Liberation invites is inviting all women who have an interest in making games, websites, apps, and/or interactive physical objects for the Women's History Month hackathon. Take inspiration and learn from some pretty boss ladies, especially in STEM such as Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, Mae Jemison, the ENIAC ladies, Donna Haraway just to name a few. We would like to expand on our usual game jam event to focus on a variety of different kinds of artistic endeavors, games, solutions and prototypes that come out of this two week (across two weekends) hackathon.
